Policies & Terms

These policies outline how services, shipping, documentation, and customer information are handled by Second Tour Timeworks. Please review them carefully before submitting a watch for service or purchase.

Service Terms (Maryland)

Second Tour Timeworks is a Maryland-based watch service and restoration business. By submitting a watch for service, the customer agrees to the following terms, governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.

Assessment & Authorization

An initial assessment may be performed to evaluate condition, required work, and parts availability. Disassembly for assessment requires customer authorization, which may be provided via email, written approval, quote acceptance, or payment of a deposit.

Payment of a deposit authorizes disassembly and assessment only unless otherwise stated in writing.

Quotes & Scope of Work

All service and restoration work is performed only after a written quote is provided and approved by the customer. Quotes are based on the condition of the watch at the time of assessment. No additional work will be performed without customer approval.

Deposits & Payments

A deposit may be required prior to service. The remaining balance is due upon completion and prior to return shipment. Deposits are non-refundable once disassembly or assessment has begun, unless otherwise required by Maryland law.

Parts & Availability

Many watches serviced are vintage or discontinued. Required parts may be difficult or impossible to source. If parts are unavailable, the customer will be notified and available options will be discussed.

Unclaimed Property

Watches left unpaid or unclaimed after notification may be subject to storage fees. Watches considered abandoned may be handled in accordance with Maryland abandoned property laws after reasonable notice to the customer.

Shipping & Insurance Policy (Maryland)

Inbound Shipping

Customers are responsible for safely packaging and shipping their watch to Second Tour Timeworks. Insured, trackable shipping is strongly recommended.

Outbound Shipping

Watches are shipped insured with tracking. Shipping method and carrier are selected at our discretion based on value, destination, and risk considerations. Signature confirmation may be required for higher-value shipments.

Insurance Coverage

Outbound shipments are insured for the declared service or sale value unless otherwise noted. Third-party shipping insurance may be used.

Risk of Loss

Risk of loss transfers to the carrier once the shipment has been accepted. Reasonable assistance will be provided with insurance claims as applicable.

Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are non-refundable once a shipment has been dispatched.

Warranty & No-Returns Policy

Service Warranty

Service work performed by Second Tour Timeworks is warranted for twelve (12) months from the completion date against defects in workmanship under normal use. This warranty does not cover normal wear, misuse, magnetization, shock, water damage (unless explicitly stated), or damage caused by future servicing or modification by others.

Vintage Watches

Due to the age and mechanical nature of vintage watches, accuracy, power reserve, and water resistance cannot be guaranteed unless explicitly stated in writing.

No Returns

Due to the custom, labor-intensive nature of watch service and restoration, returns are not accepted. All sales of serviced or restored watches are final unless otherwise stated in writing.

Privacy Policy (Maryland)

Second Tour Timeworks respects your privacy and complies with applicable Maryland and federal privacy laws.

We may collect customer names, contact information, shipping addresses, and service details for the purpose of communication, billing, and service fulfillment.
